Sparklefurry wins “Best of Show” and “People’s Choice” at Ann Arbor Addy’s
Sparklefurry, made their debut at the Addy Award show by taking “Best of Show” and “People’s Choice”. Sparklefurry, which opened in 2011 is a strategic branding and graphic design studio located in Ann Arbor, MI and is owned by Kellie Bambach. In the fall of 2011, Sparklefurry took on the challenge of working with a local non-profit organization called “The Brides Project”. This is a volunteer project initiated by the Cancer Support Community of Greater Ann Arbor dedicated to raising funds for the CSC through the sale of donated bridal gowns. Sparklefurry provided complete brand development for the initiative which included: logo design, business cards, letterhead, envelopes, brochures, hang tags, advertising, store signage and web site design. The sale of donated bridal gowns take on a very personal touch, captured by the hand drawn rendering of the logo. The Brides Project opened it’s retail shop in September of 2011, and continues to become highly noted amongst non-profit organizations for it’s innovative thinking regarding fundraising. The campaign was entered into the Advertising For The Arts & Sciences category in the 2012 Addy Awards. The work will now move on to the District level American Advertising Federation (AAF) competition, which includes all of Michigan, Indiana and Illinois.
